Attention Child Care Subsidy Patrons: During the month of October 2017, Child Care Subsidy Services will be CLOSED on Tuesday's for System Maintenance as well as our regularly scheduled closure for Staff Professional Development on Wednesday's.

Tuesday Closure Dates include: Tuesday, October 3, Tuesday, October 10, Tuesday, October 17, Tuesday, October 24 and Tuesday, October 31, 2017. If you need assistance during this time please call 910.938.0336 and ask to speak to a member of the Child Care Subsidy Program Management Staff.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to better serve you all and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Child Care Subsidy Services will be offered during normal hours of operation all other days of the week.


Unless otherwise noted: Effective March 1, 2017 Subsidy Services will be CLOSED on Wednesday's for employee training. Child Care Subsidy services will be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm. 

On June 1, 2014, the Child Care Subsidy Program moved from the Onslow County Department of Social Services (DSS) to the Onslow County Partnership for Children (OCPC).  

Thank you for your interest in the Subsidized Child Care Program. In order to be eligible for the program you must be working or in school and fall within certain financial guidelines. The financial guidelines are listed below. If you believe you are eligible for subsidized child care services, you must bring the following documents to the Onslow County Partnership for Children. If you have all of your documents with you, you will be seen on a first come first serve basis. We serve clients between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Services are unavailalbe on Wednesday's due to staff professional development.  At this time, the wait is shorter in the morning hours. Below is a list of documents you should bring with you when you come to our office.  Subsidy applications are only accepted at the OCPC Jacksonville office at this time.


Documents required for Child Care Subsidy Applicants:

  • A Work Hours Form for all adult applicants in the household. All working parents must have this form filled out by their employers and returned at the time of application before any subsidized care can begin.
  • An entire month’s worth of the paystubs for all working parents within the household. The pay stub should be from the month prior to the application. For example, if you apply in August, you should bring in July’s pay stubs.
  • A school schedule (If applicable)
  • Proof of any other income you receive besides wages, including alimony and child support, Veteran’s (VA) Benefits, Social Security Benefits, pensions, Unemployment Benefits, Worker Compensation, etc.
  • Self-Employment Form, along with income expense verifications, i.e. receipts, ledgers, etc. (If applicable)
  • A picture ID for the adults and social security cards for all members of the family.

 Note: The last applicant will be seen at 3:50pm to allow time for interview and processing. 


Note: Recipents must recertify for services annually unless notified otherwise.
