All opportunities may have other duties as requested.
Opportunities to volunteer are available in Swansboro, Richlands and Jacksonville.
Our Volunteer Opportunities include:
Resource Center/Lending Library Volunteer
- Greet visiting patrons to create a pleasant atmosphere, provide general assistance, encourage families to visit the Resource Lending Library
- Weekdays, preferably 2+ hour shifts
- Help clean returned resource materials, straighten up library
- Weekdays, 30 minutes to 8 hour shifts
- Reports to CCR&R Supervisor
Child Care Resource & Referral Volunteer
- Help prepare training and/or meeting materials, agendas, photocopy materials, stuff envelopes, file
- Weekdays, preferably 2+ hour shifts
- Reports to CCR&R Administrative Assistant
Special Events Volunteer
- Help with planning, setting up, and working events throughout the year
- Weekdays and/or weekends
- Reports to Program Coordinator
Child Advocate Volunteer
- Write, calll, or visit legislators and/or attend advocacy events
- Ongoing throughout the year
- Reports to Program Coordinator
Facility Volunteer
- Clean, organize and perform minor maintenance repairs
- Weekdays, perferably 2+ hours
- Reports to Administrative Assistant I
