Who is Circle of Parents for at the Onslow County Partnership for Children?

  • Every parent/caregivers who wants to talk to other parents
  • Have a child(ren) with special needs

What is Circle of Parents?

  • A group environment for parents of children with special needs ages 0-8
  • An environment to find support from other parents
  • No cost to group members
  • The group is led by a parent with the help of a trained facilitator.

What happens at a Circle of Parents meeting?

  • The group is all about self-help in a supportive environment where parents/caregivers can discuss their successes/challenges and/or participant in a variety of parent driven activities.

  • Driven by parent need and feasibility

How often do we meet?

  • Open group for parents/caregivers of special needs children ages 0-8 offered 2 x per month
  • Seeking Parent Leadership
